Howard Schlesinger has more than 30 years of experience as an architect and developer. His design expertise spans new construction through adaptive reuse and gut renovation, including dozens of projects reflecting a long-term commitment to the revitalization of underutilized assets. From the restoration of a former pier on the Hudson River into Basketball City, to the redevelopment of the Laz-Z-Boys manufacturing plant in Pennsylvania, to a mixed-use residential, commercial, and wellness center, he has created productive uses for properties that were no longer productive.

Today, Howard uses his diverse skill sets and experience to help make buildings more energy efficient. As Vice President of VRF Solutions, a design / build firm that provides state-of-the art heating, cooling, and domestic hot water solutions using heat pump technology, he enables owners, operators, and developers to improve air quality in and around their properties, lower energy costs, and provide sustainable, efficient solutions for heating and cooling, including addressing domestic hot water. VRF develops solutions applicable to all asset classes and provides a catalyst for transforming the built world into healthy and sustainable environments.

Prior to joining VRF Solutions, Howard was co-founder and partner of Meridian Development Partners LLC and Schlesinger, Lofredo, Brooks Architects.
In addition to his work in design and energy efficiency, Howard is a Trustee of Housing and
Services, a non-profit organization providing supportive, permanent, safe housing and services to an underserved population. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Association of Medical Facility Professionals, and the American Institute of Architects.
